(Redmond, April 7) Microsoft has announced that it will further advance its system upgrade initiative this October by rolling out a new wave of automatic updates. Eligible devices will gradually receive the Windows 11 25H2 update, which will be automatically downloaded, while users can choose when to install it.

According to the latest details, the update will be delivered using machine learning-based “intelligent rollout,” expanding to all eligible Windows 11 Home and Pro devices currently running version 24H2. The system will determine the optimal timing for the update based on usage patterns and device conditions, even without user interaction.

For users concerned about disruptions to work or study, updates can still be manually checked via the “Windows Update” page, with installation scheduled at a convenient time after download.

Notably, this automatic upgrade does not apply to enterprise-managed devices. Systems controlled by corporate IT departments will follow their own deployment schedules and are not included in the mandatory rollout.
