(Hong Kong, 25th) Following the tragic stage accident involving a falling LED screen during a 2022 concert by Hong Kong boy group MIRROR, dancer Lee Kai-yan (Ah Mo) has remained on a long road to recovery. Just as signs of improvement began to emerge, heartbreaking news broke today (April 25) that his father, Pastor Lee Shing-lam, has passed away.

Over the past few years, Pastor Lee devoted himself tirelessly to caring for his son. He had previously revealed concerns about his own health, mentioning persistent vomiting, fever, and inflammation in prayer letters, while hoping treatment would bring improvement.

Today, his passing was confirmed by the seminary he once led, which stated: “Former President Pastor Lee Shing-lam has entered eternal rest on April 25.” The statement highlighted his lifelong dedication to ministry, theological education, and the nurturing of future pastors, noting that his legacy will endure in the hearts of colleagues and students.

Reports indicate that Pastor Lee sought treatment at Prince of Wales Hospital on April 14, where initial examinations—including blood tests, ultrasound, and CT scans—suggested spleen inflammation. His condition later worsened, requiring transfer to the intensive care unit due to breathing difficulties. Despite oxygen support, he did not recover and sadly passed away.

In March this year, Pastor Lee had delayed issuing his usual prayer letter for the first time, revealing concerns about possible chronic cardiovascular issues. He openly shared three major fears: whether his body could hold on, how long he could continue accompanying his son, and the uncertainty of the future. His passing has now added a profound sense of sorrow to an already difficult journey.
