19-Year-Old Malaysian Singer Liu Enjun Makes Bold Entry into Mandopop — Backed by Top Awards, Hailed as the Next Li Jiawei

(Taipei, 26th) 19-year-old Malaysian singer-songwriter Jun Jun (Liu Enjun) has officially debuted in the Mandopop scene with her first single He Guang Tong Chen. Having started her musical journey at just six years old, she has spent over a decade honing her craft—winning more than 100 competition titles and performing as a guest at concerts by Power Station and Justin Lo. Taiwanese media have even dubbed her “the next Jess Lee.”

Her rise accelerated after winning the grand championship of the large-scale competition Sing Out Stage in Kuala Lumpur, earning her a contract with a major label and launching her professional career.

Her debut single is produced by Ian Chen Jianning, who was impressed by her during the competition. He not only composed and produced the track but also assembled a top-tier production team, including renowned arranger Terence Teo, award-winning mixer Chung Kwok-tai, mastering engineer Chen Lu-tai, and the Beijing International Philharmonic Orchestra.

The track also features a duet with rising artist Wu Duyu, bringing together two promising new voices.

Jun Jun described the recording process as both “intense and exciting,” admitting she felt overwhelmed stepping into the studio for the first time but pushed herself to deliver her best performance.

He Guang Tong Chen serves as both her official debut and a personal coming-of-age gift, inspired by a classical phrase symbolizing harmony and resilience. The song tells a story of two souls finding each other and offering support during difficult times.

The music video is directed by Lin Zhemin, known for his work on major film productions. At the launch event, Jess Lee sent her support via video, while Chen Jianning and Lin Zhemin attended in person, bringing along their prestigious awards—symbolically backing Jun Jun as a rising star in Mandopop.
