Chinese actor Zhang Linghe, who rose to fame with the costume drama Zhu Yu, is currently filming his new series Gui Luan. However, recent footage showing him limping has sparked concern among fans about his health condition.
In the circulating video, Zhang was seen arriving on set on April 26, needing assistance from his staff to get out of the car. His movements, including turning and lifting his leg, appeared strained, and he was visibly limping, worrying fans who were present.
The production team quickly addressed the situation, clarifying that the discomfort was caused by muscle cramps in his leg, not a sprain or fracture as speculated online.
Despite the condition, Zhang continued filming as scheduled and even completed physically demanding “battle-damaged” scenes, earning praise from netizens for his professionalism and dedication.
It is reported that Gui Luan involves numerous action and wirework scenes, placing high demands on physical endurance. This is not the first time Zhang has worked through injuries—earlier this month, he accidentally injured his arm due to a prop weapon rebound, and during the filming of Zhu Yu, he refused protective gear for realism, resulting in severe knee bruising that has yet to fully heal.
In response to growing concerns, his team reassured that Zhang is currently “in good overall condition” and that filming has not been delayed, with the actor continuing to fulfill his commitments on set.
