Despite consistent two-way contributions, Zou has been overlooked both in league honors and national team discussions. Even his All-Star selection came as a replacement due to injuries.

With the regular season now over, calls are growing for national team coach Guo Shiqiang to broaden his selection pool. Players like Zou, who combine steady development with strong performance, arguably deserve at least a training camp opportunity.
