Veteran actor Patrick Tse passed away from pneumonia on July 16 at the age of 89. Following the news, his son Nicholas Tse immediately returned to Hong Kong from mainland China to be with his family and quietly handle his father's funeral arrangements.

After staying with his family through the traditional mourning period, Nicholas resumed work and held his Evolution Nic Live concert in Qingdao on July 25. Ahead of the performance, he shared several rehearsal photos on social media, showing himself playing electric guitars and gazing into the sky, alongside the caption, "#EvolutionNicLive #Qingdao See you tonight." The concert marked his first public appearance since his father's passing, drawing an outpouring of encouragement from fans and fellow celebrities.

In the rehearsal photos, Nicholas appeared in a black T-shirt, black cap and sunglasses, maintaining his signature understated style. He was fully focused on rehearsals, playing multiple electric guitars, while one striking image showed him performing atop a giant suspended planet stage prop with the live band below, highlighting the concert's impressive production.

Despite grieving the loss of his father, Nicholas remained committed to his performance preparations, demonstrating professionalism while embracing the spirit his father lived by — "The show must go on."

Following Patrick Tse's passing, the family chose to keep the funeral arrangements private, and the cremation has already been completed. However, numerous false claims regarding the veteran actor's cause of death and estate distribution have continued circulating online.

In response, Nicholas Tse's management issued a statement stressing that the dignity, privacy and reputation of the deceased deserve legal protection and public respect. The statement demanded the removal of all false content and warned that legal action would be taken against anyone who continues to spread misinformation.
