Hong Chak Fung Admits to Marriage Crisis After 16 Years, Tearfully Reveals He Hasn't Kissed His Wife in Seven Years

Hong Kong, July 27 — Hong Kong actor Wong Chak Fung, 59, and his wife Chan Lai Lai, whom he married in 2010, have drawn public attention in recent years after welcoming two daughters at an advanced age. However, the couple recently revealed on HOY TV's Conflicts on the Road that their marriage had once reached a breaking point.

Appearing on the programme with their two daughters, Wong admitted that after becoming older parents, both he and his wife devoted nearly all of their attention to raising their children, leaving little room to nurture their relationship.

He shared that his wife's temper changed significantly after becoming a mother, joking that she had gone from a "small volcano" to a "big volcano." According to Wong, she often became frustrated over parenting matters and gradually lost patience with him as well.

Chan, meanwhile, said the couple frequently argued over how to raise their children. She felt hurt because Wong often blamed her temperament instead of focusing on the parenting issues themselves.

To avoid confrontation, Wong chose to remain silent, but that only widened the emotional distance between them until they were simply parents rather than husband and wife.

Chan admitted that her husband rarely expressed his love anymore, replacing "I love you" with words of gratitude. Wong then revealed that the couple had not shared a kiss for seven to eight years, dating back to before the birth of their eldest daughter.

Despite the difficulties, both acknowledged that they still deeply love each other. During an emotional heart-to-heart segment, Wong confessed that he wanted them to stay together for many more years, calling his wife "the light" in his life and saying he could not imagine walking through life without her.

His heartfelt confession moved Chan to tears. She also promised to work on her temper while expressing her wish that her husband would show her more affection. The couple ended the programme by sharing a kiss and promising to continue their journey together hand in hand.
