Blue Dragon Series Awards: Kim Go-eun Wins Grand Prize, Park Hae-soo Takes Best Actor and Announces Baby No. 2, Shin Hye-sun Crowned Best Actress

(Incheon, Aug. 1) The 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards was held at Paradise City in Incheon, with Jun Hyun-moo and Girls' Generation's Yoona serving as hosts. Kim Go-eun claimed the coveted Grand Prize (Daesang), while Park Hae-soo and Shin Hye-sun took home the Best Actor and Best Actress awards in the drama category.

Kim Go-eun became emotional the moment her name was announced for the Daesang. Fighting back tears, she said she has always considered acting a privilege and never takes the opportunity for granted.

She shared that she approaches every project with sincerity, responsibility and passion, promising to continue challenging herself with diverse roles. Unable to hold back her emotions, she broke down in tears while delivering her acceptance speech.

Park Hae-soo won Best Actor for Scarecrow, beating fellow nominees Kim Seon-ho, Kim Woo-bin, Park Ji-hoon and Hyun Bin. During his speech, he said he hopes to become not only a better actor but also a better person.

He also surprised the audience by announcing that his second child is due next month. Looking into the camera, he thanked his wife and affectionately told his children, "Daddy loves you," drawing warm applause from the audience.

Best Actress went to Shin Hye-sun for Sarah's Double Life. Clearly surprised by the result, she admitted she never expected to win and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the cast, crew and everyone who contributed to the production.

Elsewhere, Go Youn-jung, Yoo Jae-suk, Byeon Woo-seok and Lee Soo-ji received the Popularity Award, while IVE's An Yu-jin won the OST Popularity Award for Sad Saltiness from Rookie Kitchen Soldier. Go Youn-jung also received the Global Icon Award.
