(Beijing, July 25) Chinese actor Xiang Zuo recently appeared in a livestream sales event alongside his younger brother, Xiang You. While the broadcast marked a rare joint appearance by the siblings, many viewers focused on Xiang You's nervous behaviour in front of the camera.
During the livestream, Xiang You appeared noticeably tense, frequently fidgeting with his hands and looking away from the camera. Some viewers also observed that he was sweating heavily, with the back of his shirt visibly damp, prompting discussions about his well-being.
Because Xiang Tai (Chan Lan), the brothers' mother, has previously shared that Xiang You was diagnosed with a mental health condition at a young age and received professional treatment, some online users speculated that his behaviour may have been related to psychological stress.
The two brothers have had very different life experiences. While Xiang Zuo has long been known for his martial arts training and close family ties, Xiang You has faced legal issues, business setbacks and financial difficulties in the past.
Despite the online discussion, the livestream also showed the brothers interacting warmly, with Xiang You often turning to Xiang Zuo for support, reflecting a close sibling relationship.
Mental health experts note that psychological stress can sometimes manifest through physical symptoms such as sweating, muscle tension or nervous movements. However, they also emphasise that it is not appropriate to draw conclusions about a person's health based solely on a short public appearance.
Xiang Tai has previously spoken publicly about Xiang You's mental health journey, while Xiang Zuo has also confirmed that his younger brother has received treatment, urging the public to respond with understanding rather than speculation.
