On August 1, the Yan Ran Angel Fund held the closing ceremony of its 13th Charity Parent-Child Summer Camp, where 20-year-old Li Yan made a rare public appearance.

Dressed in a green charity T-shirt, with long black hair, black-framed glasses and little to no makeup, Li Yan quietly watched the children's performances from the audience. When her father, Li Yapeng, called her name, she stood up, waved to the crowd and said, "The performances were wonderful. I hope I can come back to the summer camp every year."

Although her appearance was brief, many netizens were struck by her resemblance to her mother, Faye Wong. Standing at around 175cm tall, Li Yan has developed an elegant and composed presence, with many saying she carries the same calm and understated aura as the singer.

Unlike many celebrity children, Li Yan has maintained a relatively private lifestyle. Rather than seeking the spotlight, she has continued to participate in activities organised by the Yan Ran Angel Fund, spending time with children born with cleft lip and palate who share experiences similar to her own.

Li Yan was born with a congenital cleft lip and palate. During pregnancy, Faye Wong learned about the condition but chose to continue the pregnancy. After Li Yan's birth, she underwent multiple corrective surgeries, and her story inspired the establishment of the Yan Ran Angel Fund, which has since helped countless children receive treatment.

Both Faye Wong and Li Yapeng have previously spoken about raising their daughter. Li Yapeng once said he hoped Li Yan would respond to people's stares with a smile, while Faye Wong firmly believed that her daughter was "beautiful" and that there was "nothing wrong with her." Their unconditional support played a key role in building her confidence.

In 2013, one of Li Yan's paintings, Panda and Bird, was auctioned for charity, with all proceeds donated to help children with cleft lip and palate.

Now 20 years old, Li Yan continues to keep a low profile while actively supporting charitable causes. Rather than relying on her parents' fame, she is quietly creating her own path through compassion and public service.
