Mourinho Reportedly Bids £20M for Sancho, Antony Draws Interest, Rashford Left Unwanted

According to Turkish media, former Manchester United manager José Mourinho is pushing to sign English winger Jadon Sancho for Fenerbahçe, with an offer reportedly around £20 million. Sources suggest the move could be genuine or a tactic to disrupt rival club Galatasaray's interest in the player.

Sancho is currently on loan at Chelsea, with a mandatory buy clause: if Chelsea finishes 14th or higher in the Premier League, they must buy him for a fee between £20–25 million depending on their final standing. Chelsea currently sits fifth, which would activate a £25 million purchase. However, reports claim Chelsea is seeking to terminate the deal early by paying a £5 million penalty.

Should Sancho return to Manchester United, multiple clubs may pursue his signature. Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen reportedly eyed him as a replacement for Florian Wirtz, while Galatasaray has joined the race. Turkish outlet Yeni Şafak even reported Mourinho is personally involved in Fenerbahçe’s efforts, though doubts remain about Sancho’s fit under Mourinho’s strict discipline. His £250,000-a-week wages also pose a hurdle.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are open to selling wingers Antony and Marcus Rashford.

Antony, on loan at Real Betis, has scored 8 goals and provided 5 assists. According to Fútbol España, Atlético Madrid, Juventus, and Villarreal are all showing interest. While Betis prefers a loan extension, United wants a permanent deal valued at over £35 million.

Rashford, currently loaned to Aston Villa, scored 4 goals and added 6 assists but has suffered a season-ending injury. Villa is unlikely to activate the £40 million buy option unless they secure a Champions League spot.

Rashford reportedly dreams of joining Barcelona. Barça sporting director Deco has admitted the club lacks depth beyond Yamal and Raphinha on the wings. However, Deco also stated that the club won't spend heavily on transfers, and Rashford’s £325,000 weekly wage and transfer fee make a move unlikely under their current financial constraints.
