Bayern Munich Triumphs 4-0 Over Hoffenheim, Muller’s Farewell Match, Kane Nets 26th League Goal

Newly crowned Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich closed out the season with a commanding 4-0 away win against Hoffenheim, marking Thomas Muller’s final appearance for the club.

The 35-year-old veteran, who has spent his entire senior career at Bayern, has won 13 Bundesliga titles and two Champions League trophies. He will officially leave the club this summer when his contract expires.

Muller made his 503rd Bundesliga appearance in this match, moving up to 12th on the league’s all-time appearance list. Although he didn’t add to his goal tally, he was substituted by Harry Kane after 60 minutes.

In the 33rd minute, Michael Olise curled in a precise free-kick to give Hoffenheim the opening goal. Hoffenheim striker Andrej Kramaric, who has scored eight goals against Bayern—more than any current Bundesliga player—missed a clear one-on-one chance with goalkeeper Manuel Neuer early in the second half.

Shortly after, Joshua Kimmich doubled Bayern’s lead with a deflected close-range strike. Serge Gnabry then added a third goal with a low shot from the edge of the penalty area, and Kane finished with his 26th league goal of the season.

Kane’s former Tottenham teammate Eric Dier also made his final Bayern appearance and is set to join Monaco on a free transfer this summer. Leroy Sane came on as a late substitute amid speculation about his possible departure.

Bayern finished the campaign 13 points clear of closest rivals Bayer Leverkusen, comfortably securing the Bundesliga title. Hoffenheim avoided the relegation playoff spot thanks to Heidenheim’s defeat.
