In a heartfelt post on his Douyin account, renowned League of Legends streamer "Captain October" shared a sobering health update, hinting at a potential retirement from streaming. The streamer revealed he has been diagnosed with kidney and heart failure, expressing gratitude to his loyal fans and viewers for their support over the years.

"To all my fans, thank you for watching over the years. To my friends, I may have to bid farewell to streaming starting today," he wrote. "I've been diagnosed with kidney and heart failure. Thank you all for your support. I wish you all good health, good luck, and to take care of yourselves!"

In a follow-up comment, Captain October clarified his diagnosis as chronic renal failure, also known as uremia, and confirmed that he is now undergoing dialysis three times a week.

Known for his exceptional skill, Captain October has repeatedly reached the top ranks of both the Chinese and Korean servers. His unique broadcast style often features a duo, with his partners "Youjiang" (who handles gameplay) and "Brother Eyes" (who manages interactions), a collaboration affectionately known as "Youyan Deyun" by fans.
