On October 19, Fast Technology reported a remarkable Tesla coincidence caught on camera — a highway crash involving multiple Teslas, with yet another Tesla recording the entire incident.

The video shows a Tesla Model Y driving on a California highway using FSD (Full Self-Driving) mode. Ahead, a white Model Y suddenly brakes hard. The FSD system quickly detects the danger and slows down just in time to avoid a collision.

However, the abrupt braking caught a red Model 3 behind off guard. Its driver tried to swerve into the fast lane but was struck by another Tesla approaching from behind. The moment of impact was fully captured by the Model Y’s rear-left camera. Although the filming vehicle was also affected by the chain reaction, fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.

Firefighters and police soon arrived to handle the scene. Despite being hit by two other Teslas, the recording Model Y remained drivable. After completing the investigation and collecting the Tesla’s onboard footage, officers allowed the driver to leave.

California remains Tesla’s biggest market in North America, with the Model Y and Model 3 ranking first and third in vehicle sales across the state in the first half of the year. That dominance explains why highways in California are practically filled with Teslas — sometimes, quite literally colliding into one another.
