On December 28, it was reported that a resident from Chengde, Hebei, Mr. Gong, downloaded a lending app called “Zhen You Qian” from the Apple App Store. The app allegedly disbursed funds automatically without verification, using a private account. After submitting ID, bank card, and phone number, Mr. Gong received a transfer of RMB 3,500 within 20 minutes, but was required to repay RMB 4,970 in 10 days—raising concerns of usurious lending.
Attempts to contact the app’s customer service were unsuccessful. The developer has been listed as abnormal by market regulators, making it uncontactable. Authorities advise reporting such practices to financial regulators. Apple confirmed receipt of the complaint and stated that relevant departments are investigating.
