NVIDIA H200 Lifted Ban, Tesla Full-FSD May Enter China

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang repeatedly highlighted restrictions on high-end AI chips in China. Now, the H200 ban has been lifted, with deliveries to Chinese customers expected before Lunar New Year. Each module contains 8 H200 chips, totaling 40,000–80,000 units.

Tesla aims to leverage H200 for full-FSD (Full Self-Driving) training locally, overcoming past dependence on U.S. data and computing limitations. The H200 features 141GB memory and 4.8TB/s bandwidth, enabling end-to-end AI model training for lifelike driving with FSD V12.3.

The Grok voice assistant allows complex commands to be interpreted and executed, enhancing intelligent driving. However, Chinese owners face HW 4.0 hardware requirements and a 64,000 RMB FSD fee, making adoption expensive and limited compared to North America.

Full-FSD entering China marks a milestone for cutting-edge autonomous driving, but widespread use depends on policies, pricing, and hardware availability.
