Vivian Hsu Shocked as Shower Head Suddenly Explodes, Powerful Water Jet Nearly Breaks Rib

(Taipei, 11th) Taiwanese artist Vivian Hsu recently revealed a frightening incident that nearly turned into a serious accident at her home. On the 10th, she shared via her social media stories that while preparing to take a shower, a water pipe on the bathroom wall suddenly burst without warning, sending the showerhead flying as a powerful jet of water sprayed violently across the room.

Hsu recalled that she had just stepped into the bathroom at the time. Fortunately, she was not standing directly in front of the pipe. Otherwise, being hit at close range by the high-pressure water could have resulted in severe injuries, such as broken ribs or head trauma.

Reacting quickly in the emergency, she managed to hold down the silver shower pole and shut off the water supply, finally stopping the uncontrollable spray and bringing the terrifying moment to an end.

After calming down, she shared her thoughts online, admitting that her first concern was not her own safety, but relief that the incident occurred late at night rather than around 10 p.m., the usual time her son takes a bath.

She reflected that bathing is usually the most relaxing and least guarded moment of the day. If such an accident had happened to a child, there might not have been enough time to react, and the consequences could have been far more serious.

As a mother, she expressed gratitude, saying she was thankful the incident happened to her instead. She also revealed that she had once quietly prayed before sleep, wishing that if an accident were unavoidable, she would rather bear it herself to keep her child safe — a sentiment that deeply reflected her maternal love.
