(Geneva, Jan 20) FIFA released its latest men’s world rankings on Monday, with China staying in 93rd place. AFCON runners-up Morocco climbed three spots to No. 8, breaking into the world’s top 10 for a historic best ranking.

Reports noted that although Morocco lost the final 0–1 to Senegal, their overall tournament performance earned enough ranking points to reach a new all-time high. It also marks Morocco’s first return to the top 10 since April 1998. Champions Senegal surged seven places to No. 12, setting a new national best.

The top seven remained unchanged: Spain, Argentina, France, England, Brazil, Portugal, and the Netherlands. Belgium, Germany, and Croatia sit 9th through 11th, respectively.
