On January 21, following Jimmy Butler’s season-ending ACL injury, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr confirmed he will reinstate Jonathan Kuminga. However, according to Shams Charania, Kuminga’s relationship with the Warriors is “fractured beyond repair,” with the Kings and Mavericks emerging as potential trade destinations.
During yesterday’s Warriors win over the Heat, Butler tore his ACL and is out for the season. Kerr said postgame: “Yes, of course, we’ll bring Kuminga back.” Kuminga’s last appearance for the Warriors was December 19, 2025.
