On January 22, Adobe announced a major update to Acrobat Studio, officially released on January 21. Aimed at reinventing document workflows, the update deeply integrates Adobe Express with generative AI technologies and introduces three core features designed to make document consumption faster, smarter, and more flexible.

From Documents to Presentations in Minutes

With this update, Adobe removes the barriers between Acrobat and Adobe Express. Users can now import financial reports, product documents, or competitive analyses into Acrobat’s PDF Spaces—an AI-powered knowledge hub—where the AI assistant automatically analyzes the content and generates a structured outline.

Once the outline is approved, the system leverages Adobe Express’s professional template library to produce a polished presentation draft within minutes. Users can fine-tune the length and tone of the slides and, directly within Acrobat, swap images, adjust fonts, or even add animations—creating a seamless transition from document to presentation.

Introducing “Generate Podcast”: Listen to Long Reports Instead of Reading Them

To address information overload, Acrobat introduces a groundbreaking “Generate Podcast” feature. According to Adobe, users can upload reports, meeting notes, or complex email threads of up to 500 pages, which the AI then condenses into a podcast-style audio summary.

This feature offers a new way to consume information. Professionals can review meeting highlights during commutes or workouts, students can convert study materials into audio lessons, and parents can turn school notifications into concise voice briefings—making better use of fragmented time throughout the day.

Conversational Editing and Smarter Collaboration

The updated Acrobat also replaces traditional menu-driven operations with a chat-based natural language editing experience. Users can simply type commands such as “delete page three,” “add an electronic signature,” or “remove all comments,” and the AI assistant will carry out the task instantly.

At the same time, enhanced PDF Spaces provide a more powerful collaboration environment. Teams can share files, centralize annotations, and sync changes in real time—whether sales teams are co-creating proposals or legal professionals are reviewing contracts—enabling faster decisions and smoother teamwork.
