IT Home reported on January 24 that the tipster yeux1122 published a new post the same day, sharing a set of images that appear to reveal the dimensions of Apple’s first foldable iPhone, tentatively referred to as “iPhone Fold.” The post also places the device alongside several foldable competitors for a size comparison, including Huawei’s wide-style foldable Pura X, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7, and Samsung’s Galaxy Z Trifold.
In terms of design, the leak suggests the iPhone Fold will follow the mainstream inward-folding approach. It is said to feature a 7.8-inch inner display and a 5.5-inch outer display.
When folded, the device is claimed to measure 9mm thick, which would make it slightly thicker than the iPhone 17 Pro Max at 8.75mm, according to the post.
On the hardware side, the source claims the iPhone Fold will be powered by an A20 Pro chip built on TSMC’s new 2nm process. Compared with the A19, the A20 Pro is rumored to deliver a 15% performance increase and a 30% improvement in power efficiency.
The leak also mentions the adoption of WMCM (wafer-level multi-chip module) technology, which would integrate memory with the CPU, GPU, and NPU on the same wafer—instead of placing memory beside the chip via a silicon interposer as in previous approaches.
