Employees Slam Leapmotor’s Underwhelming Annual Gala: No Air Conditioning, Bring-Your-Own Food

In the wake of Leapmotor’s 2026 annual gala, a growing number of employees have taken to sharing their frustrations, describing the event as unexpectedly disorganized and deeply underwhelming.

According to multiple employee accounts, the experience was so lacking that there was no lunch provision at midday. Staff said HR advised attendees to bring their own food, and many ended up scrambling for snacks mid-event—relying on bread or small bites just to get through the program.

Beyond food, employees also raised concerns about the venue conditions. Several said the space had no air conditioning and felt uncomfortably cold, while restroom capacity was reportedly insufficient for the crowd. Some also noted that hot water availability could not keep up with demand.

Adding to the disruption, parts of the event reportedly coincided with rainy weather. In some cases, organizers and vendors were forced to set up temporary outdoor canopies, continuing the event under makeshift arrangements.

When compared with other companies’ year-end celebrations—where bonuses, gold giveaways, or high-value electronics are not uncommon—employees said Leapmotor’s gala felt especially disappointing and, in their words, “hard to watch.”
