Fans from across the sea gathered at a mall to sing “Ni Ge Xin Nian Hou Gan Yiu” together with Malaysia’s TVB artistes, bringing the festive spirit to life.

TVBI Company Limited (TVBI) has released an original Cantonese New Year song titled “呢個新年好緊要！” performed by eight Malaysian artists—Wong Cheng Jun Yan, Peng Xu Yue, Lau Chuan Min, Siu Wai Lun, Chan Yi Shun, Leong Chen Yu, Chan Hong Sheng, and Lau Tai Lun. With its upbeat, festive melody, the track aims to welcome the Year of the Horse and bring extra holiday cheer.

In conjunction with the song launch, TVBI held the “TVBI Welcome-the-Horse CNY Fan Meet” at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, where all eight artists gathered to interact closely with fans. The event kicked off with a group performance of “呢個新年好緊要！”, instantly energizing the crowd. The artists later joined fans in a trending “Animal Challenge” game, which required participants to follow a rhythm and call out animal names in sequence—leading to plenty of laughter and a lively atmosphere.

The event drew a strong turnout, including fans who flew in from Hong Kong to show support, such as Wong Cheng Jun Yan’s “Dolphin fans” and supporters of Siu Wai Lun—highlighting the artists’ popularity beyond borders.

Performances throughout the day added to the excitement: Siu Wai Lun and Lau Chuan Min teamed up for the classic hit “Monica”; Peng Xu Yue, Chan Yi Shun, and Lau Tai Lun delivered a high-energy New Year medley with singing and dance; Leong Chen Yu and Chan Hong Sheng each performed their own singles, “Lilian” and “最成熟的決定.” Wong Cheng Jun Yan also previewed a newly re-recorded version of “同花順,” sharing that the song previously helped him earn five lights on “Midlife, Sing & Shine 3” and inspired the creation of his single “我就是舞臺.”

To close the event on a warm note, the eight artists reunited to perform the classic CNY song “祝福你,” wrapping up the fan meet in a joyful and festive atmosphere while sending heartfelt New Year wishes to everyone present.
