(Beijing, 13th) Chinese actor Ao Ruipeng, who has gained rising popularity through dramas such as Bai Yue Fan Xing and Chao Xue Lu, recently made headlines after a video surfaced showing him angrily confronting obsessive fans who surrounded his vehicle.

On the 9th, Ao attended a brand event in Shanghai. While his car was passing through an underground parking lot, it was reportedly blocked by multiple so-called “sasaeng” fans who stopped the vehicle to take photos, preventing it from moving forward.

Despite repeated attempts by staff to disperse the crowd, the situation persisted, causing the event—scheduled for 3 p.m.—to be delayed by approximately 15 minutes.

After stepping out of the vehicle, Ao was again followed closely by fans filming him. He was seen raising his hand and shouting “Go!” in frustration, a stark contrast to his usual gentle public image.

His studio later issued a statement clarifying that the artist had not been late to the event and urged the public to respect his privacy and reject intrusive fan behavior.

This was not the first such incident. In 2025, Ao reportedly experienced repeated vehicle tailing and dangerous road interference. There were also reports of individuals loitering outside his residence and attempting to record audio near his home.

The case has once again reignited discussions about extreme fan culture and artist safety.
