(Kuala Lumpur, 13th) Malaysia’s economy expanded by 6.3% in the fourth quarter of 2025, supported by stronger domestic demand, faster growth in household spending, improving labour market conditions, and income-related policy support. Full-year growth came in at 5.2%.

Bank Negara Malaysia Governor Datuk Seri Abdul Rasheed said the 2025 expansion was driven mainly by robust domestic demand and favourable export performance, exceeding the earlier forecast range of 4.0% to 4.8%.

He expects the growth momentum to continue into 2026.
