Undergoes Multiple Painful Aesthetic Procedures with Dramatic Transformation, TVB Actress Wong Tsz Wai Says She Doesn’t Want to Remember Her Past Look

(Hong Kong, 21st) Veteran TVB actress Wong Tsz-wai, 57, has spent over three decades in the industry and is widely known for her “auntie” and wealthy matron roles, earning her the nickname “TVB’s go-to housewife.” Recently, she participated in the program Medical Aesthetics Direct: Seoul Edition, traveling to South Korea for a series of cosmetic treatments in hopes of regaining her look from a decade ago. Following the transformation, she remarked that she looks significantly younger, joking, “I don’t even want to remember what I looked like before.”

After completing the treatments, Wong attended a family graduation ceremony in Australia and shared selfies online. Netizens commented that she resembles Pinky Cheung and even Gigi Lai, while others noted that previous cosmetic issues, particularly with her nose, now appear much improved.

On the show, Wong addressed long-standing concerns about her body shape, especially thigh fat she has struggled with for over 30 years. She opted for fat-dissolving injections, explaining that aging had slowed her metabolism and made traditional weight loss methods ineffective.

Her treatments included double eyelid surgery, thread lifting, hyaluronic acid fillers, whitening injections, and more. Despite some swelling and bruising, her recovery has been smooth, and she expressed satisfaction with the improved facial contours and smile lines.

One of the most intense procedures was a long-acting skin booster injection, often considered extremely painful. She received nearly 50 injections across her face and was seen tearing up during the process, but she persevered, saying the results—lasting up to nine months—made it worthwhile.

She also invested around HKD 120,000 in dental restoration, receiving 16 ceramic veneers to fix long-term dental issues. The result was a bright, even smile that boosted her confidence.

Before entering the entertainment industry, Wong worked as an accountant and later ran a fashion business. She was eventually discovered and appeared in films such as City Hunter, as well as works starring Stephen Chow. She officially joined TVB in 1996 and has since appeared in over 300 dramas.

In her personal life, she married a non-celebrity partner in 2000 and has two sons, keeping her marriage largely private.
