(Cupertino, April 5) After three consecutive days of product announcements, Apple has unveiled the all-new MacBook Neo, featuring a refreshed design and positioned as the most affordable MacBook to date. The Malaysian website lists its starting price at RM2,499.

Weighing approximately 1.22kg, the MacBook Neo comes in four colors—Silver, Pink, Orange, and Indigo—making it the most vibrant MacBook lineup yet.

In terms of performance, the MacBook Neo is powered by the A18 Pro chip, the same class used in the iPhone 16 Pro series. Apple claims it delivers up to 50% faster performance in everyday tasks such as web browsing compared to popular PCs equipped with Intel Core Ultra 5 processors, and up to three times faster speeds in advanced on-device AI tasks like photo enhancements.

The device features a 13-inch Liquid Retina display with a resolution of 2408×1506, 500 nits of brightness, and support for 1 billion colors. Apple notes that this display is brighter and sharper than most laptops in the same price range.

For video and audio, it includes a 1080p FaceTime HD camera with enhanced image processing for clearer calls, along with dual side-firing speakers that support spatial audio and Dolby Atmos, delivering an immersive media experience.

Connectivity includes two USB-C ports for accessories and external displays, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 6 for faster and more stable wireless connections.
