Thai Star Third Finally Tries Nasi Lemak in Malaysia, Shyly Tells Fans: "You're Too Close!"

(Shah Alam, June 26) Thai actor and singer Third (Lapat Ngamchaweng) delighted fans at Central i-City on Saturday as he appeared to promote the three-day Amazing Thailand Fest 2026. Although the meet-and-greet lasted only about 10 minutes, Third made every moment count by walking around the venue, greeting fans at close range and inviting them to stand up for photos. Surrounded by enthusiastic supporters, he shyly laughed, "You're all too close. I'm getting a little shy!"

Third shared that he first visited Malaysia three years ago but never had the chance to try the country's iconic nasi lemak. This time, he finally fulfilled that wish, revealing that he became hungry at 2 a.m. the night before and immediately ordered a plate of nasi lemak, calling it "a dream come true."

He joked that he was prepared to return home two kilograms heavier, adding that nasi kandar was next on his food list and asking fans to recommend more Malaysian delicacies.

When asked about Malaysia's weather, Third said it felt cooler than Thailand. A fan playfully replied, "It's hotter today because you're here!" He quickly responded, "I think it's because of your passion that Malaysia feels even hotter."

Fans also tried to get him to reveal details about his performance scheduled for the following day, but Third refused to spoil the surprise. When one fan claimed they had school and could not attend, he immediately laughed, "No, no, no. Tomorrow is Saturday—you don't have school!"

Third also revealed that he had brought his mother along for the trip. Speaking about Malaysia's famous durian, he said his mother loves the fruit as well and hinted that they might enjoy some together that evening.

During the session, fans affectionately called him "Phi Third," while one boldly asked why he was so handsome. Embarrassed, he replied, "I don't know." He then charmed the crowd by saying, "I dressed up carefully this morning just to come and see all of you."

The Thai star also exchanged language lessons with fans, learning Malay phrases such as "Terima Kasih," "Mantap," "Comel" and "Sayang Awak," before teaching everyone the Thai phrase for "very cute" — "Naa-rak maak."

Before wrapping up, Third gathered everyone for a group photo and even filmed a selfie video. With fans crowding around him, he laughed, "You're all too close… I'm getting shy. And my phone screen is cracked!"

Despite the brief appearance, Third's warmth and fan service left attendees delighted. He is scheduled to make more appearances at Amazing Thailand Fest 2026 throughout the weekend at Central i-City.
