TVB's Crime Beyond Bounds Premieres July 29, Marks Lawrence Ng's Return After 11 Years

(Kuala Lumpur, June 24) TVB's new crime anthology Crime Beyond Bounds, starring Lawrence Ng, Brian Chu, Winki Lai, Alice Chan, Ricardo Ng, Pal Sinn, Karl Yuen, Moon Lau, Tsui Wing and Hera Chan, will premiere on July 29. Inspired by real-life cases, the six-part drama explores how greed can drive ordinary people into committing extraordinary crimes.

Produced by Amy Wong, the series consists of six interconnected stories: The Faceless Corpse, Forbidden Love in the Stone Coffin, A Billion-Dollar Murder, Dangerous Game, Dirty Bullet and Obsessive Lover. While each chapter tells a standalone story, hidden connections gradually link every case together.

Connecting the six investigations is detective Meng Bao, played by Wai Ka-hung. Although not the central figure in every episode, his sharp instincts and relentless pursuit of the truth make him the key character who ties the series together.

One of the biggest highlights is Lawrence Ng's return to TVB after an 11-year absence. Once again portraying a doctor, Ng revives the image that made him one of Hong Kong television's most recognisable stars.

Veteran actress Alice Chan also delivers a powerful performance in A Billion-Dollar Murder, portraying a woman consumed by greed. Her intense confrontations with veteran actress Lo Yuen-yan over a family inheritance promise to be among the drama's most explosive moments.

Tsui Wing takes on one of the most challenging roles of his career, portraying a man with the mentality of a child. His emotional courtroom breakdown is expected to become one of the series' most memorable scenes.

Meanwhile, rising actor Ricardo Ng appears in The Faceless Corpse, joining a cast that brings together veteran performers and younger talents to deliver a suspense-filled drama exploring the darkest side of human desire.
