Midlife, Sing & Shine 4: Yin Jing Shun and Champion Wong Pok Score a Night-Best 95 with Faye Wong Classic

(Hong Kong, June 23) The latest episode of Midlife, Sing & Shine 4 featured the first half of the "Support Battle", with Eric Suen serving as guest judge and Frances Yip and Lee Lai-ha appearing as mentors. Contestants teamed up with alumni from previous seasons, delivering a series of standout performances.

Malaysia's "Male Faye Wong" Yin Jing Shun partnered with Season 3 champion Wong Pok to perform Faye Wong's classic Human World. Singing the song in its original female key, Yin impressed judges with his soaring vocals, while Wong Pok's ethereal harmonies elevated the performance, earning a standing ovation from the panel.

Wong Pok said she chose to perform with Yin after being deeply moved by his rendition of Grandma's Words, praising his genuine love for music. Yin said sharing the stage with the reigning champion was a dream come true.

Their performance earned 95 points, the highest score of the evening, with judge Calvin Cheung praising Wong Pok's harmonies and judge Hedy giving enthusiastic applause.

Rising contestant Hui Wan Nei continued her strong run by teaming up with Season 1 runner-up Lee Kai on Love Is Over / Lost Love. Her powerful delivery of the line "Love is over" became one of the night's highlights, helping the duo score 92 points.

Elsewhere, former The Voice contestants Chow Chi Hong and Lau Wai Wong reunited after 17 years for a rock performance of Lost Soul, receiving 86 points.

Chan Yuk Pui and Lee Kam Kai performed Flowers in the Water and finished with 85 points, although judges encouraged Chan to gain more confidence when singing in Cantonese.

Ka Lam and Lung Ting's rendition of Walk Away Gracefully received the night's lowest score of 83 points, with judges feeling the elaborate costumes failed to enhance the overall performance.

The show ended on a humorous note when Cheng Ka-sing and Ngan Chi-hang tossed a wedding invitation into the audience during their performance of Ah Niu, nearly hitting judge Calvin Cheung, who jokingly remarked that "karma really exists."
