(Kuala Lumpur, 14 Sept) 8TV music programme “The Best of Us 2026” is taking its performances beyond campuses and into cities and communities, featuring six resident singers — Danny Koo, Jeryl Lee, Liu Han Jie, Cai Jing Xuan, Huang Shi Qi and Guan Jie Hao.
The new season will travel across different states, with each stop featuring a unique theme and collaborations between local musicians and the programme’s resident singers.
For the first time, the show will feature two different formats. The acoustic sharing sessions offer a more intimate setting where singers can share music and stories behind their songs, while the larger music meet-and-greet events will feature local musicians and special guests.
Recording begins in September, starting in Johor with events in Batu Pahat on 18 September and Johor Bahru on 19 September. The tour then heads to the Klang Valley on 27 and 28 September, with stops at Sungei Wang Plaza in Kuala Lumpur and Puncak Alop in Ampang, Selangor.
More states will follow as the programme uses music to capture the stories and memories of different Malaysian cities.
