Bannon Urges Trump to Seize SpaceX, Musk Responds

Following a public fallout between Elon Musk and President Trump over the "Big and Beautiful" Act, former White House advisor Steve Bannon called on Trump to issue an executive order to seize SpaceX under the Defense Production Act. A video of Bannon’s remarks was posted on X by an account named “Retard Finder,” to which Musk replied, calling Bannon a “top retard.”

Bannon further accused Musk of being an “illegal foreigner” and demanded an official immigration investigation, insisting Musk should be deported immediately.

The dispute escalated after Trump criticized Musk during a meeting with German Chancellor Merz, saying he was “disappointed” in Musk. Musk responded by calling for Trump’s impeachment, suggesting VP J.D. Vance replace him, and alleging Trump’s name appears in the Epstein files—implying a reason for government non-disclosure.

Trump countered by threatening to cancel all federal subsidies and contracts with Musk, accusing him of being upset about the removal of the EV mandate in the new legislation.

White House spokesperson Levitt commented: “This is an unfortunate episode from Mr. Musk, who’s upset because the bill didn’t include his favored provisions. The President remains focused on making America great again.”
