During a post-speech interview, he openly expressed his admiration for Xiaomi’s electric vehicle, saying, “I really want to buy one—we have extensive cooperation with Xiaomi.”

Huang spoke highly of China’s EV sector, stating, “In the past five years, China’s electric vehicles have probably been the most surprising development in the world.” Regarding ongoing tariff concerns and trade tensions, he noted that while the supply chain will need adjustments, “we will find solutions.”

Shortly before the event, photos surfaced online showing Huang and Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun posing together in front of traditional Chinese architecture. Another photo featured them beside the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra. Though the visit was not publicly disclosed, insiders confirmed it was a private client meeting.
