October 15 — Apple CEO Tim Cook was seen in Beijing’s Jiangfu Park today, taking a casual stroll and chatting with local developers. Photos captured by IT Home show Cook in high spirits, smiling and engaging in friendly conversation about technology and innovation.
Just two days earlier, on October 13, Cook appeared at the THE MONSTERS 10th Anniversary Exhibition in Shanghai, where he met POP MART founder Wang Ning and LABUBU series creator Long Jiacheng. Later that evening, Cook joined the official Apple Store livestream on Douyin, announcing that the iPhone Air (China version) will open for pre-orders on October 17 at 9 AM, with in-store sales beginning on October 22.
According to Caijing, sources close to Apple revealed that Cook’s latest visit to China focuses on two key goals:
- Promoting the wider adoption and approval of eSIM technology in mainland China.
- Accelerating regulatory clearance for Apple’s AI features and services in the Chinese market.
Cook has long emphasized China’s role in Apple’s global ecosystem, praising local developers for their creativity and innovation. His relaxed walk-and-talk session in Beijing once again underlines Apple’s strong commitment to engaging with China’s vibrant tech community.
