On December 5, “Jipian Lab” reported that BYD has launched a “Flawless Operation” initiative in its internal battery factories since Q3 this year. The goal is to ensure that every battery meets “zero defect” standards across its entire lifecycle.

According to insiders, the plan requires improving efficiency and reducing errors in manufacturing, processes, quality management, and customer service. BYD aims to restructure personnel within 3–5 months to reach industry-leading management levels and meet major client standards by 2026, ultimately aspiring to management benchmarks like those of Toyota.

Although BYD is the world’s second-largest power battery manufacturer, most of its batteries have been used internally for its own vehicles. In the first three quarters of 2025, BYD installed 113.42 GWh of domestic power batteries, of which 23.65 GWh were supplied externally, accounting for 20.85%. With growing external supply and energy storage business, BYD is accelerating improvements in battery performance and management standards.
