Bursa Malaysia keeps climbing, up nearly 1% in the first 17 minutes of trade.

Asian stock markets mostly traded higher in early sessions, while Bursa Malaysia extended yesterday’s gains and climbed further this morning. As of 9:17 a.m., the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI stood at 1,760.54 points, up 16.47 points or 0.94%.

The benchmark index opened at 1,749.25 points and trended upward shortly after, quickly breaking above the 1,760 level.

Early trading volume totaled 324.97 million shares with a turnover of RM261.84 million. Market breadth was positive, with 326 gainers, 198 decliners, and 389 counters unchanged.

On the corporate front, Paradigm REIT released its fourth-quarter results for FY2025 (ended Dec 31), posting net property income of RM41.72 million and revenue of RM60.85 million. As the REIT is newly listed, year-on-year comparison was not available.

Nevertheless, the stock opened higher, gaining 2.5 sen or 2.51% to RM1.02 — its first return above the RM1 mark since its listing in June last year.

Hawk Surges 13% in Early Trade

Meanwhile, Hawk announced a proposed issuance of up to 45.28 million warrants on a 2-for-1 basis. The company said the exercise price is set at 17 sen per share, and full conversion could raise RM41.7 million for working capital.

Hawk’s share price rose 3 sen or 13.04% to 26 sen in early trading.
